Chocolate Chip Muffins
Ingredients
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 150g chocolate chips
  • 100g  caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 150ml natural yogurt
  • 100g butter
Method
  1. Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
  2. Fill a muffin tin with 12 bun cases.
  3. Mix the chocolate chips, bicarbonate of soda and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Melt the butter.
  5. Beat the eggs in a bowl.
  6. Mix the eggs, butter and yogurt. Then combine all the elements in a bowl and stir lightly.
  7. Place the mix in the paper cases and bake for 20-25 mins.
Kids’ Guide
  1. Ask a grown up to turn on the oven.
  2. Fill a muffin tin with 12 bun cases.
  3. Measure 150g of chocolate chips
  4. Measure 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
  5. .Measure 100g of caster sugar.
  6. Mix the sugar, bicarbonate of soda and chocolate chips in a bowl.
  7. Crack 2 eggs and stir in another bowl.
  8. Measure 100g of butter.
  9. Ask a grown up to help melt the butter
  10. Measure 150ml of natural yogurt.
  11. Mix the yogurt, butter and eggs in a bowl.
  12. Add all the ingredients together and stir.
  13. Scoop some of the mixture into each of the bun cases.
  14. Ask a grown up to put them in the oven.
